Monty Desai is a former cricketer from India who played as a batsman and wicket-keeper. He was born on November 14, 1971, in Mumbai, India. Desai played domestic cricket for Goa between 1995 and 2003 and also represented the Indian Under-19 team.
After retiring from cricket, Desai became a cricket coach and has worked with several teams around the world. He was the head coach of the Canadian national team from 2009 to 2011 and also worked with the Afghanistan national team as a batting coach.
Desai is currently working as the batting coach of the Punjab Kings team in the Indian Premier League. He is known for his expertise in coaching young batsmen and has helped several players improve their game over the years.
